Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

need a little help with the apache tutorial

First off all i want to introduce myself my name is Andries and i live in the Netherlands and decided to go and learn maya. after looking at the things everyone here made i decided to buy the apache tutorial but i already got stuck in the first part (help)(newbie)

i got the following

those things in the middle should not be there i redid all off is about five times and i dont think i forgot something. i did remove them by hand but later on i go to many vertices.

Check that you have the "keep faces together" turned on under Polygon->Tool Options.
