Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

maya crashes on iMac

hi,

I've been trying to install maya at work on one of the new imacs (2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo 2GB ram ATI, RadeonHD2600 osx 10.4.10)

maya 8.5 & 2008 install properly open and after the introduction movie window poped up the whole system freezes -properly I can only press the power button and reboot. I removed the vector render plugin, cause it doesn't work on mac from version 8.5 on.

Buuuuut maya 8.0 works fine, no issues at all except its not running natively on intel and is kinda slowish.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience so far and if there's a workaround.

cheers

no they are for pocket calculators.... user added image -of course they are mac versions

I might not be a maya expert, but I am not a complete idiot either. I don't think you'd be able to install a version for windows or linux on mac anyway
