This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Shadows

Is there a way to blur shadows so you don't get such hard edges?

in the lights raytracing tab, look at light angle(in Directional light) or light radius(in any other light), and increase that untill it looks good
