Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

The line art looks great; however, I don't think the shading is working very well at the moment.

I still did not read how to gave fill @ my model it's just look flat ... but i will read in the net some basics of prespective. I will do some concept art soon. I'll try to cover as much knowledge as possible. From rough sketch to give fillness to color and some other things ...

Whilst waiting for my Smiler Alley scene to render I thought I'd do some sketching in PS, as 3d has taken over and my 2d has suffered because of it, I haven't done any hand drawing for over a year, and came up with a self portrait, only the second one I've ever done!
Might do some more to it at some point, but here's how it came out for now.

Thanks Chirone!

The eye's were looking a bit messy so I've cleaned them up a bit, not sure about doing much more to it, but am thinking of trying to draw Clint Eastwood from the Dirty Harry days, was fun doing some 2d art for a change so will try to make a bit of time to do more from now on. 3d will have to learn to share with 2d......lol

And here is another one I did of Jessica Simpson. I basically abandoned it. Got burned out on it, but it still looks pretty good.

I need to finish the Leona Lewis project I started last year.

Haven't done anything in so long, the only thing I have done in the past couple of years (maya has fully taken over during that time), is the sketch of myself I did while waiting for a render to finish, it's at the top of this page, apart from that nothing but 3d for me lately, will try and make some time to do some in the future though!

Hey Some Guy, good to see you again! My main work PC has been down since last april due to hard drive problems so I have had to resort to using a laptop for a while and I don't always have access to it. I have been building a new PC, and I'm almost finished. I now have a QUAD core AMD with a totally new board. I'm just waiting on ram prices to go down. My new board only use's DDR3 ram and my board is capable of 16 gig's of ram, but I'm only going as far as 4 or maybe 6 at the most. But anyway, posting here really hasn't been a priority for some time. Once I get my new PC up and running I will be able to get back to MAYA. Windows 7 ultimate has a XP mode that can run all of my old XP programs and my MAYA 6.5 can run with this. I really need to upgrade my MAYA. What has it got up to now, version 9 or something?

Dango77,

You should get back to 2D drawing, I consider it a good foundation to 3D modeling. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your stuff in the future.
