Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Subdivs geometry flow

Hi,

I'm modeling a subdivs head which I have the edge loops layed out good in the polygonal cage and it's geometry is uniformly spaced but when converting to subdivs, some small areas of high resolution (finer detail) appear scattered in many places in the head.

Is this bad for the model or its OK?
Will it affect facial animation?
if it's bad, then how to fix it?

Its alright, that isj ust the subdivision working up maximum smoothness.

When you do the animation, you want to edit the subdivision in polygons mode.
