Anduril WIP

Well, needed a little time way from my comp entry (I missed modelling too much), and since I just watched RoTK EE I decided to make a model of Anduril.

Anduril is of course the sword which Elrond makes for Aragorn from the shards of Narsil, which Isildur used to defeat Sauron... Just in case you're wondering user added image

Found some refs at cbswords.com, and since Anduril and Narsil are basically the same, I might do two different textures and make them both...

Handle and blade are pretty much completed, just the hilt to go...

Thanks Mussa, it's just sub-d's with some creases though, nothing special, but it was a bit tricky to get it to look decent...

Update on the hilt:

The hilt will have half spheres on both ends like the ones on the end of the handle...

Like I said, it is pretty simple, but I had a little trouble making the creases look natural... Still not quite there, but I'll start tweaking and texturing when I finish my comp entry user added image
