maya scripting

just starting to learn mel and was wondering if someone could give me a decent book to learn from or a good beginers website. thanks

If you have a good programing background, just press F1 in Maya and see some basic MEL language difference from other programing tools-very similar to Java.

"The Mel Companion" by David Stripinis and "Mel Scripting for Maya Animators" by Mark Wilkins are two great books. I have both sitting on my bookshelf and have learned a lot from them. They're great for beginner to advanced level scripters.
