Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

start of boot, not sure whether to go with brown or black, but whichever, it will hopefully be a lot more weathered/battered looking than it is currently.

As ever comments and crits welcome

Very cool. But I think that the boot has to have a bump map on it. Else it just looks unrealistic. Keep going!

cheers guys,

the hand looks ok from a distance, but itneeds a bit of tweaking and a lot of texturing, which I suck at!!! user added image

working on the trousers now, might need some comments on the creasing of them - just going to ad some more then will render a shot

cheers

here's the first shot of the legs, early stages - not too happy with the folds and a lot more need to be added yet.

comments/crits very much appreciated

here's a bit more. Not very sure at all about the waistband thing. Does it look crap? Does it look ok but need altering?

Comments/crits welcome.

the waistband thing is good user added image it adds complexity. you're really doing great  user added image something about the folds though...trousers usualy have folds radiating from the groin area. you can just look at yours for reference and for some other folds user added image

cheers for the comments guys,

do you mean there needs to be more folds? there are a few folds radiating upwards from the groin, maybe the lighting does show these too well. Should there be some going downwards as well?

cheers
