Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I never heard of this game in any form until you posted it. If the character's topology looks like the game version, then I reccomend sticking with it. Keep up the awsome work!

It's alot better then my crappy snake I'm working on. But in time it will look better. LOL, I only have one reply besides my own.

Well this is my 2nd challenge, and as the last one i entered as normal and my work was really a crap compared to most the other normals i decided to enter as a noob this time.

Maybe u think i can change to normal?

But anyway i think im still a noob, because i dont know anything about hair, paint effects, hair, fur, fluids...
I dont even know how to do a render with global ilumination settings......

The point is that im good in modeling...
And i have some skills on drawing ,comic style or manga style (yeahhhhhhh i love it!)

If you're good at modelling then you can quickly learn the texturing (for this competition) and other areas in other competitions.

I only really know modelling too but with each competition we'll both get better at the other areas user added image
And likewise with the global illuminations, I haven't a clue yet either.... any simplymaya tutorials on stuff like that available??? user added image

I made something with its legs and its hair.
I realised the legs where longer when i played the game but i didnt remember that because this character is allways crounching a bit.
(I found an emulator and a rom of this game :attn: and now that i've seen it moving I have realised a lot of things i will be adding soon, but playing with the keyboard is really difficult, I NEED A JOYPAD xD)

I'm a little concerned that it's too similar to the original.

I was thinking that it was close to the original character too, but I figured I was no authority to say something. I can't wait to see updates though. Nice job.

Mtmckinley, I thought that I should make it 3d like they have done with the new 3D version King of Fighters ( I mean, the design is almost the same, but now it isn't manga-style)

It's a bit more realistic and without that cartoon-like look.
If they are pros and they do it, why can't I do the same?

And in the end it isn't exactly the same stuff because the 2D version is a thiner guy with very exagerated musculature, and it whouldnt had stand in 3D with the same design.

What do you think?
