Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

2 questions really appreciated if answered

(1) I have a feeling this has been a very clicheic question but ill ask anyway cause i cant find the answer: any of you know how to convert a max model to something importable to maya.

(2)any of u know the hotkey for shading>xray. I looked all over the archive but couldnt find it.

1) Export from 3ds Max to a .obj file. Then, in Maya go to windows-I think settings and preferences-plug-in manager. Eneble Objexport (enable, autoload checked).

Then open the obj file as you would any other file.
