Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

straightning poly curve

Is there some way to let Maya make a perfectly straight line with the vertices you select? Check pic to see what I mean.

Hmm... not that I know of. If you're using a bevel command, you can lower the curvature to 0.

Or just delete the extra edges/vertices making the curve... an edge between two vertices is always a straight line...
