Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

here is an update... any tips??? I don't know really... I am allways going between subd and polys, back and forth all of the time, most off all of the modeling is in poly, and converted to sub d... Just try to keep it as low poly as you can so you can avoid unwanted bumps and stuff....anyways, here ya go...

Ive been a huge lego fan, but havent gotten a new set in quite a long time. Usually made up my own models.

I saw a jeep you made, maybe you should go for some of the more sci-fi models? Space or a ship or something. Or one of the old western style sets.

lol user added image Well...I am finnsihing this up now....just wondering... what if I made a "back to the future" 350z?? I mean...in some sort of way, it has the shape of a Delorian...Kind of...depending on how you look at it anyways...lol, maybe not...but still, what do you think? I just feel like doing something different/unique now that its done (almost). Thanks

Brian

btw, it took me less than 2 days to get the basics of the model finnished.

Thats good time on that model. Not bad, especially it being so clean, A back to the future model woudl look nice, but make sure you have a good texture for the flux capacitoruser added image

Which version of the back to the future car are you going to make(it was different in 1,2, and 3. Or are you making a concept, Back to the future 4?

I got some amazing reference photos...they are 1600x1200.... here is one example...I shrunk it down...
Brian

I have pics from the inside and outside of the car....I was going to go with this as my reference.... but do you think I should make my own version???Would b kind of hard...but i could still base it off of this design...THanks!

Ide say tweak the base reference to your own image. More fulfilling to do somethign you designed than someone else isnt it?
