Wow. So far so good. I like the storyboard. Short, sweet, and hard to beat. Good sketches and progress.

Thanks for the replies user added image

This is going to be my first actual model/project done in Maya, so I'm excited. I'm hoping to finish modeling by the end of the week. I only have the hand and head, but I also need some details like a jet pack, hoses, antennas, and maybe a weapon/lazer gun of some sort. I've done some simple rigging before, so I feel pretty confident that I can rig this thing in one day(Saturday).

Then it's all animating from then on.user added image

I'll keep you guys posted.

George

P.S.
Does anyone know of some user groups in the San Diego county area?

Here's a small update to my WIP.

https://members.cox.net/castro4172/GG...ser_shots.html

I just need to rig the hands/fingers and the shoulders. I might model a blaster for the character and add detail to the jet/power pack.

Should start animating him by next week

Enjoy,
George
