hut

hey im just a beginner here and was wondering wether or not to post this on at all seeing alot of the levels of work being posted here, but why not im sure even the people at pixar worked at this level once :p

so i got the "learning autodesk maya 2008 foundation" book as people recomended to me a few months back and i would now recomend to anyone else beginning on maya user added image

so heres a hut i made that the book guides you to do.

Hey theres absolutely nothing wrong with putting your stuff out there man. Apart from missing shadows I can't really crit since you just started. Rome wasn't built in a day so stick with it. And for some reason this reminds me of Guild Wars where you had to rescue prisoners of the Charr lol.

It's a start! I bet everyone once been to this level...
About GecT's advice:
You can turn shadow casting on for you light in the material attribute and turning raytracing on in the render settings.

Try adding some bump mapping to your textures.
