Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

My attempt of a Space Ship

I figured I would play around with what I have been learning so far.

My attempt of a space ship in the works:

I know the intake needs work.. just trying to figure out the process since I already added bevels to it.. Didn't plan it out correctly.

Alright.. Got a cockpit on it.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to put a rib the same shape of the cockpit but at the line of them intersecting.
Kinda like how I cut the middle out.. you would have a steel bar cage around it.

Any ideas?

you could have made the cockpit (i wonder why they have such dodgy names... or is that just me who thinks that?) and before you deleted that hole just draw on your rib shapes with the insert edge tool and delete the faces around them

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"
