Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

character modelling

After many weeks work here's my first completed model, at least the first one that looks anything like it was meant to.

Got to sort out hair, body and proper texturing. Lots to keep me busy.

hey kerosene,

Cool dude, a bit more definition around the jaw and bridge of the nose, maybe post a wire, people can tell more from wires. especially Jango.

I know what you mean about Jango. He seems to be a mesh magician. A lot of this mesh is based on the tips he posts on others WIP.

cool start. your jaw looks sunken in some. and the brows and forhead are a bit to prominet.. and not sharp enufe. Keep at it. Looks like it could be a nice head model.

Thanks guys!

Having some real problems with the brow/top of the nose. Any suggestions on how to tidy the geometery there or is it along the right track?

And Pony, really loving the female nudity thread. Some really good renders. How many lights do you use for that?
