This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
you can either create the knot itself with a CV curve and then extrude a circle along it and then play with the shape of the circle to get the look you want (scale it up or down, squash it in one direction, etc.)...
or you could study the shape of the knot itself and break it up into pieces and model those pieces in polygons and then just push them up against one another til it looks like a knot.
