female figure

Hey I am planning on modeling a female figure. Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial? What I really need is reference from the front/side/back. I would go to fineart.sk, but it takes FOREVER to load the pictures and most of the time it times out. Any good reference would be apreciated. Thanks!

Here's a link I found on Google!...

https://forums.simplymaya.com/showthr...&threadid=5942

Maybe if ya ask nice he can give ya some pointers user added image

Either that or make your own reference pictures, but I think the above is easier....hehe.....and safer user added image ....LOL

I looked on Google....because next to SM, Google is your best friend....and I found very little in the way of pics or tuts.....and ya fineart has a damn slow connection.

Hope that helps.....also gonna move this to modelling

There are lots of tutorials around regarding human modelling. You just need to do some looking. I have noticed 2 different processes for modeling humans:

1) Start with a polygon shape and divide and extrude faces to "mold" the shape into a human

2) Create a single polygon and build, polygon by polygon (extruding edges).

Here are a few tutorials I was able to find:

https://www.mtmckinley.net/tut9.html
(This uses method 1 above. It's not a female character but it should prove to be a simular process)

https://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials.../polyhead1.asp
(Again uses method 1 above. Its just a head tutorial - but it's REALLY good. I would start with this one then use the other one for the remaining body)

I've seen a good tutorial for method 2 above - but I wasnt able to find it at the moment. It may not have been for maya but it would still work. I think it was a "joan of arc" character and it looked pretty good. If I find it I'll post it!
