Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Dredlocks

ello all,

I am trying to create some dredlock type things for my slipknot model - I have absolutely no idea how to texture them - any ideas how I go about texturing dreds??

cheers

I would look into using the Maya 6 "hair" module. I've seen some tests that look like dreadlocks.
