Using Maya and a SpaceBall?

This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I am VERY new to using Maya and I wondering if any of you use a Spaceball when modelling? Is it worth buying one?

Used when Modelling to Rotate, move in 3D as opposed to using the Mouse.

Eh Vlad, I have been looking at it too. If you get one, tell me how it feels! Look like an original concept to the mouse related problems.

I'm not using a spaceball but a spacemouse and I couldn't be happier. Had to play a little bit with the settings and work out some driver issues with 3DConnexion but by now the drivers for Maya work very well. Check ebay before you shell out the $500 for a new device. I'll got mine for $65 and $55.
