Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

fur dilemma -using shave and haircut

I am getting this strange dark silhouette behind the ear, which appears to be the lower subd version, any ideas whats causing the problem?

Im taking a guess that you attached the fur to the lower detail geometry? And then smoothed after? I don't know for sure..?
