maya not exiting

Hi all Maya user. Well, my problem is that Maya 6 is not exiting whenever I exit the program. Not only that, there are two of them trying to exit. I open my task manager and see two maya 6 not responding. argh! This just happen recently. I have not install anything new. In fact, I reinstall maya 6 and it is still happenning to me. Crying for help. Thanks.

How much of your RAM is it currently taking to exit maya? And are you sure the second program you see is not the output window, but it actually shows another maya instance? You can double check that thing btw by checking the tab 'processes' (assuming you have XP) and checking if there's 2 maya.exe's. If that's not there the 2 things shouldn't be a prob.

thanks a lot for the reply. there were only one maya.exe. I figure out the problem though. the funny thing is, it was taking a whole lot of time exiting. my computer was bogging up so i clean my harddrive and defrag it. wa la. it's good as new. well, not that new. ok, jya.
