Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

um.. might just be me but it looks like the text is upside-down...

And you might want to change the text slightly. Possibly delete half of one page and have a small picture on the page? Just to take up some room.

I'm not sure I like where and how the pagemarker is sitting. I think it should sit closer or on the spine, but that's just personal taste :-)

err... just noticed. It looks liek the page marker is also sitting above the book in some places, like its hovering.

Thanks guys,

twisteddragon33, your ideea with a photo on a half page is great, I will apply it certanly. With the text if is it upside-down... hmmm... I don't know I have to check it, maybe you'v right, from the render picture it's looks as you said.
Vampus, the page marker I don't know if it has to sit close to spine.I have an old book and when I open it and let the page marker to fall, it looked like this.

Just wondering why its all hazy like that?

Also, the shadows are way too sharp for candle light. And the shadow being cast underneath the candle is unnatural.

hi,

dave_baer, the haziness is done to increase the old look and warmness in the atmosphere, so it’s pure artistically.

dirack, that’s very simple; the candle is made from a cylinder and the book is made from nurbs.

Cheers.
