Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Flourescent Lights

What kind of lights would I use if I wanted to create a tube light (flourescent). Would I take maybe three point lights and space them out then add a glow to the tube or just add glow only and no point lights... or would there be another light I'd use instead of point?

yeah, you'd need to experiment with glow maps, possibly making use of ramps in combination of your lights.

Okay, I'm trying to do this tube light thing again and right now, I still feel lost when it comes to making this effect work. I'm feeling like this guy -----> user added image ...when I'd rather be feeling like this guy ----->:bgreen:

Anywho, I need to know how to replicate the effect of a real flourescent light. If there any takers on this question, please feel free to chime in any second... LOL! Any second... any second now... yep, somebody will just jump right into this one with both feet... LOL!
