Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Couple of problems

I have a piece of work I did a few months ago for an assignment and now I want to put it with a portfolio and send it off to places, problem is there are a couple of unresolved issues with it:

1. Final rendered thing was really dark and file was freakin' huge (1.3 gigs to be exact). I was wondering what I could do as well as rendering in a lower resolution, the frame count was 733. And the whole thing was really dark too, most of it was pitch black even though the quick renders didn't turn out like that. I split it into two halves and then aced them, one was 7 megs, the other was 25.

2. There was a helicopter in the scene but I need the blades to look at least reasonable, right now I just have a square plane making up for it. I got some blades to rotate when on the ground but as soon as it took of they went all dodgy so I changed it and make the old helicopter disappear while the chopper was out of view and put another one there with the square blades as soon as it took off but I would like the second chopper to have something a little better looking for when I send it off.

Sorry if I dragged but didn't want to miss anything out, help appreciated.
