Mental Ray Error

I am having a very annoying problem with mental ray. I have some xGen hairs on my model and whenever I go to render the image this error shows up
// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/mentalrayForMaya2015/scripts/mentalrayUI.mel line 636: No object matches name: mentalrayItemsList.globals //
I have no idea on how about to go at this problem. I tried activating and deactivating Mental Ray and got it rendering but I it didnt render the xGen hairs.

Can I just get a tip on how to get rid off the error 'file contains unknown nodes or data' and 'Errors have occurred while reading this scene that may result in data loss. Please check the script editor for details' because they are really bugging me and stopping me from doing certain stuff, I already optimized my scene but to no avail.
