This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

1st-Ever Character Model

Here is the first Character that I have ever modeled. These are pics of a High-Res version. I have a Low-Res version that I am currently trying to Rig, it also has a few tweaks to it. But I'd like any opinions on this version at the moment. Thanx.

Wow... I hope you mean first model ever in MAYA. It's really good. Only thing I would change is the head. Seems a little flat in the face. Great work -- Keep it up!

Its diffrent I'll give you that. I think that using a blinn shader for him will make him look like a statue. Other than that good work.

Thanx everyone. Like I said before I am still obviously working on it. I am slowly but surely working on texture maps for him, but unfortunately I need to finish rigging it first. So that is taking up most of my time.
As for the blinn shader, I just put a basic blinn shader on him so that I see I could find any mistakes in the skin as I was modeling. The color on him is actually from the lights in the scene, just used to accentuate his details.
