Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

3D Text in Maya?

I am just starting to use Maya and this is my 3rd time toying with it. How would I go about making 3D Text? Please Help me.

Create>Text. Then just go to surfaces>Loft on the curves.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
