Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

How is the little searcher doing? Did it get set aside for some other projects?
Looking forward to some renderings of the finnished model.

Thanks Dae, no need to make it too complex. By the way, I am gonna try to let the lighting and rendering drive the image and not focus too much on textures.

so I am going to need a shitload of CPU power if I wanna do 500 light bounces hahah..

This is very cool, and I love the concept! I think the feet are looking quite good as they are.

are you modeling in NURBS?????
Because if you are, you're doing a beautiful job modeling with it.
I like the idea. makes me wish it was mine:p user added image

Thanks guys.

Actually its a mix of NURBS and Polys, but mostly NURBS. I am strugling a bit with them here and there tho user added image

I find NURBS best suited for Mechanical and Design type modeling projects, but I definately use polys for Organic shapes.

I like the "less is more" concept with regard to the texturing. This will look really cool just with shaders.

Hope you got some rest user added image
