Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

autosave and plugin installing

two questions
1. Is there an autosave feature that will keep my idiot self from losing a lot of work when i forget to save?

2. I downloaded gi joe for an easy way to light my models for display, but i have no idea how to activate it(what folder(s) to put the files in). It has one .mel file and 2 .ma files. I dont know if thats important. When its installed, will it be a menu item, or do i need to learn some mel scripting. Any insight into plugins would be great.

What I lack in skill I make up for with enthusiasm.

if you still need to know...

copy the script into your local maya folder. open maya, open Script Editor and type in the scriptfile´s name.

bsp. Gi_Joe.mel

type -> Gi_Joe
then goto SCRIPT - execute

or just type Gi_Joe and dragdrop it to the shelf to create a shelfbutton.

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
