Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Normal mapping time?

How long would you expect a model to be 'baked' from 30,000 to 5,000 polys when normal mapping? It's been going for 5-10 mins now, and I'm not sure whether it's just 'not responding' or crashed, or could it still be processing? How long does normal mapping 'normally' take?

Omg dude when you bake the normals, expect it to take a hell of a lot of time. I'm erally not sure, but 5 mins aint gonna cut it. I'd give that a max threshold of 2 hours, but then again, I have no clue how this really works.
