check out 'steam boy' by Miyazki's protege, the animation took him ten years to complete, forgot his name, you'll find the wheel machanic, steam powered, has been done and is already on the big screen, watch out for copyright?

but.., it is great I'd like to try and make a real one.

watch it on digital, your computer or something, don't bother on a normal TV ; on digital you'll see a sense of depth and blending between 2d and 3d that is out of this world and so it is unexplainable.

take it easy and life will be easy

mirek03: Dude, are you sure is your post on the right thread? If so, I didn't understand.

t1ck135: Hehehe. Exactly what I had in mind. I was missing Swankymonkey style renders in this challenge.

THX1138: yes, dude, I think too that some more progress would be nice. user added image

Then it's time to get back to this project and do it until the end. Yesterday I made some sketches of the individual parts of the robot, and I made some small changes in his edge flow and overall proportions.
Before that I had put reasonable hands and some parts that were missing on my previous picture. Today I'll refine his parts a little more.

lol, Where does the person riding the monowheel go when it transforms?

Good job on the model. I am just starting Maya (And this fourm), but I can at least tell that the model is very well layed out, and modeled. I really like the different shapes the limbs are.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. I'm sorry too, I'd like to finish, but... I had to go after money. It's the free lancer life... I was some time without job, and I had to go after some money. Because this things here in the challenge didn't advanced. It's a pitty... but I still have intentions to finish my model in the future.
But I'm well guys, thanks again for you kindness. Let's see what next challenge deserves for us...

Amauri
