This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

2 rendering questions

Question 1:
in maya 7 online docs there are mention of importing .swft files into flash from maya. It claims that you get separate render layers automatically on this page:

under "Render Layers to SWFT (Flash smart layers)". Has anyone done this in Flash 8? Flash MX? Flash 8 docs do not understand anything about .swft files.
and it won't import.

Question 2:

in maya docs under "pfxToonShape node" there is an image under the "lighting based width" header that looks like a woodcut cone (see image). Has anyone tried this look? I can't achieve it with the provided info....
