Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Smaller ICONS

i would like to scale down the tool icons. is there a way to do this without replacing the bitmaps? i want to retain the shelf without taking too much space.

i have tried looking at the MELscripts in the preferences ... there are height and width settings for each button. i edited them and they keep returning back to 34. are these the right params? (sorry i am a maya newbie i dont know any MEL)

or perhaps there are downloadable alternative icons somewhere?

thanks in advance.

Get a huge monitor and set the resolution to something like 2048x1536 and you get relatively small icons user added image

Why don't you just bind hotkeys for hide and show UI elements commands?
