Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

To be honest its not really for me, they look like there floating and the lightings is far to bright. I think that the image you used for lightings a bit mad too. as its the same as the floor, so it makes it hard to see whats what.

Have a play with settings for HDR images on a simple chrome ball and a simple lambert floor plane so you get used to the settings etc.

That's just my opinion.

Keep at it mate.

Hmm. Maybe I should do some better shadowing?
The scene was done with the basic HDR setup with lights with no intensity.
I'll try and dim the ambient color so that it isnt too bright.

I dimmed down the light and used a better view of the floor.

it would look cool with just the spheres and the reflection but with the background removed, so its just all white background and floor.

cool looking.

Go to your HDR image and in the visability tab switch off renderable (think its in there), It will still provide the light but not render the image, also change the environment tab to white in the cameras environment tab.

Cheers
