This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

pivot centre

yet another question! - I have a group of objects, each with their pivot set to the centre, but when i select the group and centre pivot it's off to the side... why is this?

i've freeze(d) the transforms user added image

Usally means there is an object with some history/transformation within the group. Freeze trans and delete history and regroup or hit insert on move the pivot manually.

I never did managed to remove the offset through the seetings - i 'resorted' to the good old 'insert' key. thanks user added image

you might have grouped an object that you didn't intend to add to the group as well




that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

I'm not sure - - everything positioned ok now so I'm not too woried, it was more just a general query.
