This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
Well getting all of this stuff imported into Maya is turning out to be a real hassle but I am almost there. Then its what to do with all the randomness
I know how you feel, I found there tends to be a lot of reversed normals in the majority of the models I imported. You do have a pretty cool Storm Trooper though

They do have a system called checkmate which from the looks of this is pretty good! Some of those free models they should probably just scrap completely more trouble then the worth...
