Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

69 Charger

I started this a few days ago, not sure when I'll get to finish it.. It's far from done. The door and fender aren't close or converted either. I just duplicated the back for rendering. Have to fix the vert issues and tolerance issues. Long ways to go yet..

More time on lunch..lol. The A-pillars are off I know and I've got a lot of loose edges as well. Rear glass is just set too. Lot of hickups yet I still need to fix. I have a feeling I'll get stumped on the front grill and headlights..

Thanks.. Had some time last night. I royaly messed up the a -pillars though and have no clue how I'm going to fix them..Might even have to delete half and remake them or try to salvage what I have..The windshield won't set right because of them.. I added some ground effects, sorry..lol, couldn't resist..

I lost most of the Charger when Maya crashed, my fault I suppose, history and all. It had a "fatal error"..lol and attempted to save for me before closing but I lost a ton of work.. So, here's a chassis I'm working on for something as well, 67 Chevelle to be exact. The engine isn't correct and just set in for other reasons and the exhaust pipes need tweeked..

I need to boolean the frame in a few spots but how do you guys keep your holes from looking like crap and folding in on themselves? I tried a few times and either I have to many loops on the frame to begin with or I'm not doing something right..

Every time you use the boolean you do need to clean up the mesh after, the more you get used to doing booleans you start to set up the mesh before hand so there will be less to clean up.................dave

Well maybe I won't boolean then, I hadn't planned on running a clean up, thanks Dave.
