Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Making a road

I have nurbs plane which I sculpted to look like a terrain. Now I want to make a road on that terrain. I'm gonna use another nurbs plane to make the road. Is there any to deform that plane to make the curves perfectly?

Instead of using a plane for the road, you could draw a curve in the top view, then, extrude it a distance. Rebuild the surface afterwards if you need to. Another way would be to draw a curve, duplicate it, and translate to form each side of the road. Then, loft between them and smooth.
