Help with M40 WW2 German Helmet

I'm a beginner with Maya Learning.

As Learning exercice i'm trying to modeling a german helmet (u can see the pic)

it's a interesting exercice cause this helmet got few particulars design.

i need help cause i feel that edges needs to be more depth. (sorry for my English)

if someone could help me to gives me right way to well modeling this helmet please.

Not looking to bad you just need to model to your reference, not to bad in side view should need only a little tweeking front view needs a bit more tweeking. As for the thickness you could extrude the whole mesh in a little but only a little...........dave

Yes a little tweeking, Im only going by your reference you might need another edge loop............dave

In some ways it looks better but it is not looking like a German helmet any more, are you following the back plan references.............dave

You were nearly there with the side mesh of your first model you just had to push out the mesh from the front and above................dave

Yes better, look at the front of the helmet were the crease is that looks to sharp soften if a little.............dave

Good, I tried to soften the front of the helmet. I think the result is pretty good, do you think my helmet is almost perfect now?
