Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Startup settings!

Does anybody know if you can set maya up so that when I use the extrude faces tool it is already set to " keep faces together - ON!" Probably a simple problem but highly annoying none the less!

Just tick the Polygons -> Tool Options -> Keep Faces Together on user added image

What you could do (or I'll do it if you want), is make a hotkey/shelf button that when pressed both chooses the extrude tool and sets that 'Keep faces together' option to on.
