sub d modeling is it still slow?? in 5.

is sub d modeling still slow in maya 5???

Correct me if Im wrong, but sub-d modeling was never really 'slow'. Yea, the more complex a mesh/model gets, the slower its going to run. Maybe if you explained more when you say "slow". user added image

Yep, it's still the same speed as before. I've started using the polygon proxy mode instead. I'm finding it a lot more flexible and much easier to edit UVs than with subDs (and I was a big subdivision fan).
