Who wants to see my really crappy walk cycle?

It about time i got round to trying to animate something. So i decided to attempt my first walk cycle. This was done after reading a tutorial on how to rig and animate. I know it's cr*p so no need to say so. I'll try again tomorrow and see if i can do better. I'll also download the SM vid when i've got enough money for more points. Something odd happened to his arm towards the end.

It's not all that bad ckyuk. Just remember that hips and shoulders (actually everything) do move as well while a character is walking. In your animation they don't and that's why he looks like he swallowed an iron bar or something user added image

hehehe. that's actully really funny to watch... user added image I love it... but like kbrown said, make his whole body move not just the arms/legs...

Definitely a lot better, but still looks a bit rigid.

It's probably just the camera angle, but it looks like he's leaning back a bit.

Don't think he's leaning back, must be the angle but he definitely is still too rigid. I think the biggest problem is with his arms, i'll try to get something done about them later tonight.

His feet need to move more toward the center line. He'd fall over when he lifts a leg the way he is at the moment.
