extruding faces from one primitive to another?

hi everyone,
is it possible to extrude faces from one primitive to another? in other words, can i start with a cube and using extrude faces extrude a cylinder out of it? is there a plugin for doing this sort of thing?

thanks!

Not sure what youre trying to do here. If youre using polys, you can use cut faces to make a cylindrical shape on the surface and then extrude that, or you can combine a poly cylinder with your cube and weld them together (again by splitting faces).

Hi

Question, when you say weld, the tool is named COMBINE? or ATTACH SURFACE?

Thanks

You first need to combine so the 2 objects become 1, then snap the vertices together and do a weld vertices or weld multiple edges.
