Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

how are you going to handle the different material types on the jacket? im assuming you want the armor to have a thick plastic look to it...

Hm. Good point. I guess the armour pieces should be separate from the body mesh if I want it to look good when animating/texturing. Most think about that.. user added image
