Pixar’s working on a new movie set for release in spring 2022. Turning Red is the studio’s 25th feature film, directed by Domee Shi, who won an Oscar in 2018 for the animated short film Bao. The upcoming feature tells the story of 13-year old girl Mei who suddenly poofs into a giant red panda when she gets too excited. It’s a take on the coming-of-age comedy, with an emotional and furry twist.
