A new trailer for “The Peanuts Movie”, which is coming to theaters on November 6th, is out. The animated feature is based on the comic strips created by Charles M. Schultz, who is considered one of the most influential cartoonists of all time.
After the first strip of Peanuts appeared in 1950 it went on to become the longest story ever told by a human being, with a staggering 17, 897 strips published in total. Schultz drew them all himself up until his death in 2000, when the comic was discontinued according to his wishes.
Several animated films and TV specials have been made over the years, but this is the first CG version done in 3D. Check out the clip below to learn more about how Blue Sky Studios went about creating the characters in 3D, while staying true to the comics by preserving Schultz’s drawing style in the animation.
