BhGhost, the free animation plugin for onion-skinning your animations in Maya, has been updated.

The new feature, which is a small but very useful one, will let you isolate and ghost only selected parts of a character by using the Quick Select Sets in Maya.

This will make it easier to focus on specific parts of the animation, such as the hands or the head, while having less clutter in the viewport. It will also slow down the scene less than when you ghost the entire mesh, so it’s a very nice thing if you’re working with a high-res character as you don’t need to calculate the full ghosted outlines.
