Korean VFX house Gulliver Studios has released a breakdown from their work on the disturbing show Squid Game, where contestants in deep financial debt put their lives on the line to play a series of children’s games. The winner gets a huge cash prize and the show was conceived based on creator Hwang Dong-huyk’s own economic struggles early in life. When Squid Game first aired on Netflix in September, 142 million households watched it during the first four weeks, which makes it Netflix’s most-watched series to date.
