DNEG has released an action-packed breakdown of the studio’s work on The Matrix Resurrections with CG environments, digital doubles, and some stunning effects. The film had a total of 2350 VFX shots created by DNEG, Framestore, and One of Us. DNEG used Unreal Engine-rendered scenes for the first time on a feature film during the dojo sequence, which shows in the breakdown. While the dojo itself was largely a live-action set with green screens, the surrounding environment was lit and rendered entirely in Unreal with imported cameras from Maya.
